About 6 months ago Amy and I did an interview with Canberra's City News and it was finally in last week. Lots of people have seen it as it is a free magazine in Canberra. Amy and I are getting very excited for GAD which will be here before we know it! 

Darwin trip

Amy and I sitting on her parents deck overlooking the water in Darwin, it is so beautiful. I am up in Darwin for 3 weeks which will be an amazing source of inspiration. At the moment Amy is preparing for Darwin Fashion Week which is this Saturday night. I will be wearing AYLOR and will be taking loads of photos! Then we are getting into designing for the GAD exhibition which is in Canberra in August.

Here is the final film that Amy and I created with the talented Kent Marcus. We had such a fantastic team with Katie van den Bos modelling and showing us what an amazing model she is and now an amazing actress too! Amanda did a great job with hair and Natalia was great on makeup and stuck around all day helping which was so fantastic!

Follow the link to watch the film that we created with the idea that as Katie evolves the garment evolves showing that the process in which a garment is made is just as, if not more important, than the final product. To show that Selvedge 2 Selvedge is about a sustainable approach to fashion design that looks beyond the appearance of a garment and appreciates the stories that are ingrained in them.

Darwin Fashion Week

The launch of the very first Darwin Fashion Week will be held next week 7th till the 10th June. AYLOR will be featured on the Emerging Designers night (the 9th).
