Wool Modern

The beautiful Pier 2/3 at Walsh Bay in Sydney was the perfect setting for the Wool Modern exhibition with the huge timbre pillars that contrast with the stunning wool garments. Would love to do a shoot here!

My three favourites at the exhibition:
The Egg Twin, By Giles Deacon A/W 09/10, Made from heavy felt and trimmed with roving wool with grograin bonded armholes, 100% wool.

Prince Charming Wool Coat, By Vivienne Westwood A/W 10/11, 100% wool. The way that the jacket buttons up unevenly creates stunning folds in the jacket.

'Be sustainable. Use wool' Vivienne Westwood

Men's Ready-to-wear, By Lucus Ossendrijver for Lanvin A/W 10/11, 100% wool. This was the most amzing piece at the exhibition. The jacket and vest looked like it was knitted and then felted to create a worn and distressed look that was still ordered. Would love to try and recreate this technique.
